FAQ’S

  • PRINTS

How are your Fine Art Prints produced?

Professional Photographer Brett Fordyce, photographs my original paintings on a 151 megapixel phase one camera as seen above. This ultra high resolution technology captures extraordinary detail and colour accuracy.

Digitizing an image is a process that refines the information captured by the camera so that it may communicate it to the printer. This ultra high resolution technology captures extraordinary detail and colour integrity, ensuring accuracy and precision in the final printed image.

What kind of paper are your prints printed on?

I have chosen to use Ilford smooth 100% cotton rag paper to print my images on. It has been specifically crafted to meet the needs of fine art printing and durability.

Will the prints be accurate to the original artwork?

Yes, I have to admit that I was absolutely blown away when I saw these prints with my own eyes. Archival level pigment inks are used to produce accurate colour reproductions of the artwork. Truly amazing!

Can you order prints in custom sizes?

Yes. The sizes available have been designed to be the most economical out of the paper roll widths. Sometimes custom sizes can be more expensive but get in touch with me HERE, so that we can discuss it further.

  • FRAMING

What kind of framing do you recommend?

I have chosen specific frame settings for the framed print options that I know will work beautifully with the printed images. However, if you have something different in mind, please contact me HERE for a chat and I’m sure we can make it happen for you.

What kind of glass is my artwork framed behind?

The glass that I have selected for a standard framing order is Conservation Clear Glass. It provides the highest level of protection against damaging ultraviolet (UV) rays which prevents the fading of artwork.

The next level up from that is UltraVue UV70 Art Glass. This is a special type of glass that not only protects your artwork from ultraviolet rays, it is also non reflective. This means that you can enjoy your framed artwork from everywhere in the room without having light reflecting from it. This product is more expensive. If you would like to add it to your purchase, I can get back to you with a quote and we can go from there. Let me know HERE.

    Can you send frames overseas?

I can send framed stretched canvas originals overseas. I can’t send framed paper images overseas though as the risk of glass breaking and damage to the print is too high.

How long will it take for my framed artwork to arrive?

Framing can take 2 - 3 weeks and sometimes longer during busy seasons such as Christmas. Once your artwork is shipped I will be in touch with a tracking number so that you can track your precious cargo.

    What is a limited edition?

Limited edition simply means that the number of times the print is reproduced is ‘limited’. This makes it more special.

  • ORIGINAL ARTWORKS AND COMMISSIONS

What paint or materials do you use?

I work with acrylic paints and mediums. For my textured pieces I also use modelling pastes and gels to create the desired effect.

Do you frame your original artwork?

I don’t always frame original artwork but it can be arranged if that is what you would like to do.

Can you send original artwork and commissions overseas?

Yes I can send stretched canvases and framed canvases overseas. Alternatively, I can paint commissions on unstretched canvas and post it in a tube.

How do I find out more about commissions?

Thank you for inquiring. I LOVE commissions! Please see more information about the process HERE.
